The Orfeo-Kino is in Fellbach-Schmiden, in the district's oldest building, on the road out towards Waiblingen. Since 1994 it has given Fellbach a cinema again. It uses a restored 16th-century vaulted cellar. The single air-conditioned auditorium seats 98 in raked rows, and the screen measures 4.5 by 2 metres. Projection is digital DLP-Cinema to DCI specification (Christie projector, Doremi server), with Dolby Digital sound. Besides the evening programme, the house concentrates on children's films. Its children's programme and special film series have won awards from the state of Baden-Württemberg and the federal government many times. Wheelchair spaces are in front of and beside the first row, and a lift gives step-free access from the 50-space car park. Like the Luna in Ludwigsburg it is run by KinoKult e.V., and it belongs to the AG Kino-Gilde and Europa Cinemas.
