Kleines Kino e.V. zu Gast im CineStar

The Kleines Kino is a film society from Frankfurt (Oder), founded in 1993, with no hall of its own. Its evenings run at the CineStar on Große Scharrnstraße, usually on a Friday at 19:30. It shows European and international cinema away from the mainstream, along with DEFA films and documentaries. Some screenings bring a director or actor in for a film talk, organised with the Förderkreis Film Berlin-Brandenburg. The society is run by 17 volunteers at present. Tickets cost 8 euros, online or at the door, where the box office opens at 18:45. Once a year it shows a classic in the Friedenskirche, and at the end of August it holds summer film days on the Oder island of Ziegenwerder. Only the CineStar evenings are listed here.
