Kino im U

The Kino im U is on the ground floor of the Dortmunder U and is programmed by the centre itself, in the tradition of municipal cinemas. It screens every Tuesday and on the first Friday of the month, in its own series such as Feierabendfilm, Kinoklassiker, Arthouse and Queerfilmnacht. International arthouse films run in the original with subtitles. The hall has 162 seats and a 32 square metre screen, and the stage measures 30 square metres. Two 35 mm projectors mean films are regularly shown on film. Admission is 8 euros, 5 euros reduced. The hall is wheelchair accessible without assistance and has an induction loop for hearing aids with a T-coil.
