E-Werk Kino

The cinema of the E-Werk arts centre is on the 2nd floor of the building at Fuchsenwiese 1, about five minutes on foot from Erlangen's main station. The auditorium has 45 seats and can be reached by lift. A volunteer cinema team picks the films and plans the programme month by month. It shows current films in the original language with subtitles (OmU), and French films in the Cinéma Français series with the Deutsch-Französisches Institut (dFi). The Weitsicht ERlangen series brings two documentaries a month, with free admission. In the afternoons La Dolce Vita runs, cinema with coffee and cake for 10 euros. In July and August there is open-air cinema in the E-Werk garden. The cinema has been able to show 35 mm films since 1991.
