Kino im Kleinen Theater Bargteheide

The Kino im Kleinen Theater Bargteheide plays in the theatre's hall at Hamburger Straße 3, with 344 red theatre seats on a raked floor. Films have been shown here since 1927/28, first in the Gasthof "Unter den Linden". After a large fire in 1952 the rebuilt house opened on 1 September 1954 as the Linden-Lichtspiele, and in 1980 it took the name Kleines Theater. Until the end of 2018 the cinema was called Cinema Paradiso and belonged to the Filmtheaterbetriebe Hans-Peter Jansen. Today the non-profit Kleines Theater Bargteheide e.V. runs it with volunteers. In June 2026 it received the Schleswig-Holstein cinema prize for its 2025 programme, in the category "Kino als Kulturort". Tickets are sold only at the box office, from 30 minutes before the film starts.
