Adria Filmtheater

The Adria Filmtheater opened in 1952 on the site of the pre-war Schlosspark Kino, which had been reduced to rubble by Allied bombing. Its six hundred original seats have been refined over the decades, but the intimate post-war atmosphere remains remarkably intact — leather armchairs, modest proportions, and a spirit closer to a living room than a multiplex. Tucked behind the Wrangelschloesschen in Steglitz, the Adria has quietly persisted through every wave of cinema reinvention.
