Schloßstraße 48, 12165 Berlin
The Adria Filmtheater opened in 1952 on the site of the pre-war Schlosspark Kino, which Allied bombing had reduced to rubble. It started with six hundred seats, and the post-war interior is largely intact: leather armchairs and modest proportions. The cinema stands behind the Wrangelschlösschen in Steglitz. Its programme favours independent and documentary work over franchise releases.
