The Xenon Kino on Kolonnenstraße in Schoeneberg has been Berlin's dedicated queer cinema since the early 1980s, one of remarkably few venues anywhere in the world with a permanent LGBTQ+ programme year-round. Its single screen shows new queer cinema, festival favourites, repertory classics and broader arthouse releases. Schoeneberg has long been the centre of Berlin's gay community, and the cinema and its neighbourhood grew up together.
