Traumpalast Nürtingen

Films have run at Uhlandstraße 10 since December 1952, when the Capitol opened. The Atrium and the small Bambi followed in 1956, sharing one box office and one projection wing, an arrangement the archive allekinos.com counts as the first three-screen cinema centre built in Germany. The same source records the Bambi's fifties interior as the first cinema auditorium in Baden-Württemberg to be listed as a monument, in 1990. Heinz Lochmann bought the house, by then called Kinopalast, at the end of September 2011 and reopened it as a Traumpalast. Eight screens now hold roughly 900 seats and still carry the old names: Atrium, Capitol, Scala, Gloria, Bambi, Odeon, Phönix, Delphi. Atrium and Capitol have Dolby Atmos, the Capitol also twelve D-Box motion seats. Programming is first-run and overwhelmingly dubbed, with a weekly children's screening and concert relays alongside.
