The Traumpalast Esslingen holds one of only four Dolby Cinemas in Germany: an auditorium with Dolby Vision projection, whose blacks run far deeper than a normal hall's, paired with Dolby Atmos. The other screens are named after film history, from Buster and Charlie through Metropolis to Illusion and Backstage. The programme is the full Traumpalast range — current blockbusters, original-version screenings, concert and event presentations — with many shows in Dolby Atmos and some offering D-BOX motion seats. The cinema sits on Kollwitzstraße, a few minutes' walk from Esslingen station.
