Seenema

The seenema is the town cinema of Bad Waldsee, a single 52-seat hall at Biberacher Straße 29. It is run by the Stadtkino Bad Waldsee eG, a cooperative founded by 55 members on 6 November 2012, after the spa town had gone 45 years without a cinema. The name plays on the cinema by the town lake. The house is largely run by volunteers and programmes in the style of a non-commercial arthouse cinema. From September to June there is a children's programme every Saturday and Sunday, and once a month a Seniorenkino with coffee and cake. Shows at 14:00 cost 6 euros, later ones 8 euros, and payment is cash only. The foyer hosts changing exhibitions, and the house has a bistro with about 20 seats.
