P4 13, 68161 Mannheim
The Planken Lichtspiele opened in 2025 in the P4 quadrate and bring cinema back to Mannheim's city centre. They are run by Wolfgang Traber, Oliver Lebert and the Kunzi family, who also operate the Atlantis and Odeon. The halls range from a large one for current releases to smaller themed rooms. There is an original-version series, sneak previews, and the Atlantis programme also shows in the house.
