Apollo Service-Kino Altena

A Verzehrkino in the Sauerland, and one of the oldest still working that way: Wilhelm von der Brake laid the foundation stone in 1924, and four generations later the family still writes that the service principle has not changed since: back then it was drinks and open sandwiches carried in during the film, today you press a button at the table and someone takes the order. Two rooms. The Apollo De Luxe on the ground floor opened in 2007 and the house calls it Germany's first Deluxe cinema; the Apollo Royal came later, from Nicole Güldner and her mother Christel. Both have tables between the seats, 4K projection and Dolby 7.1, and tickets run from about €6 to €12.
