The Central & Union Filmtheater is a cinema in the heart of Ludwigsburg with two buildings: the Central-Theater at Arsenalstraße 4 and the Union-Theater at Solitudestraße 6. The Central-Theater opened on 2 August 1913 in the presence of King Wilhelm II of Württemberg. Together the buildings hold five screens, from the Großes Haus with 431 seats to the Filmstudio with 107. Two screens are equipped for 3D and the Kleines Haus projects with laser. Alongside the current programme the cinema runs series such as CineMondo, Matinée and film marathons, plus occasional screenings in the original version.
