Sonnenlichtspiele Gaildorf

The Sonnenlichtspiele is the cinema of Gaildorf in the Limpurger Land, on Karlstraße in the former Gasthof Zur Sonne, which gave the house its name in 1948. Gaildorf has had a cinema since 1 August 1947. Since 2 October 2003 the association Sonnenlichtspiele Gaildorf e.V. has run it, staffed by volunteers. It shows current films in the main hall, an arthouse series on Thursdays and afternoon screenings for seniors. An open-air cinema has run in the courtyard of the Altes Schloss each summer since 2007. Tickets cost 8 euros, 6 euros reduced and 5 euros for children up to 12.
