The Schauburg Filmtheater at Schleifmühlenstraße 8 in Rendsburg opened on 23 December 1927 and has stayed in family hands since. It now has six screens, from the Großes Haus with 165 seats to the Truffaut's Filmlounge with 22 seats, which was added in May 2017. On Tuesdays the Kommunales Kino shows German films and films from other countries away from the Hollywood mainstream.
