Schulstraße 7, 24582 Bordesholm
The Savoy in Bordesholm is run by the Kinoverein Bordesholm e. V., a society founded in December 1997 to stop the cinema from closing. Film has screened in the Schulstraße since October 1950. The society is volunteer-run and brings cinema, concerts and theatre together under one roof, around 300 events a year. Alongside current films the house keeps film history on the screen, for instance the classics series „Kino zum Kaffee“ on the third Tuesday of each month, plus silent films with live music and documentaries. A standard ticket costs 6.50 €.
