The Royal Filmpalast sits on Goetheplatz in Munich's Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt, a short walk south of the Sendlinger Tor and the Altstadt. Its seven screens run a mainstream-leaning programme with far more original-version screenings than the city's larger multiplexes, which show dubbed prints almost exclusively. The auditoriums are modern and well kept, with digital projection and comfortable seating. Goetheplatz is ringed by restaurants and served by two U-Bahn lines.
