Unterer Sand 13, 94032 Passau
The ProLi — Promenade Lichtspiele — on Unterer Sand in Passau is a family-owned cinema founded in 1927, making it one of the oldest continuously operated houses in the region. After a comprehensive renovation in 2018, its seventy-two seats were fitted with leather armchairs and electrically adjustable recliners, creating an experience closer to a private screening room than a public cinema. The attached cafe serves homemade cakes and barista coffee, and the house policy of showing no advertising before the main feature reinforces its boutique character. In a city blessed with three distinct Cineplex venues, the ProLi represents the most personal and intimate expression of the cinema art.
