Salzburger Straße 2, 83435 Bad Reichenhall
The Park-Kino has shown films in Bad Reichenhall since 1918, in the Axelmannstein-Kolonnaden on Salzburger Straße. The large auditorium was divided at the end of the 1970s, and the house has had three screens since: the Saal Maximilian with 70 seats, the Saal Josef with 50 seats, and the small Lichtspiel-Lounge Studio Maaz with sofa seating. Max Berger and Sepp Loibl have run the cinema since 1998, and projection has been digital since 2012. The programme favours German and European films, family titles and matinees. Its Klassik strand shows ballet and opera recordings from the Royal Opera House in London. The house has won the FilmFernsehFonds Bayern cinema programme prize several times since 2000.
