Clara-Zetkin-Straße 194, 14547 Beelitz
The Neues Lichtspielhaus Beelitz is a Programmkino run by the town of Beelitz at Clara-Zetkin-Straße 194. It grew out of the Venus-Lichtspiele, which had run since the 1930s and closed in spring 1991. The town bought the empty building in 2019, listed as a monument since 2020, and had it renovated with 832,000 euros from the former GDR party assets and about 160,000 euros in urban-development funding from the state of Brandenburg. It reopened as the Neues Lichtspielhaus in September 2023. The auditorium once held about 200 seats and now seats 65. During the day it also runs screenings for schools and Kitas.
