Two screens by the Laufer Schlagturm in Nürnberg's old town, running since 1970 and one of the first Programmkinos in Germany — the house in which the Weber brothers settled after years of touring towns that had no cinema with a Kinomobil, and still the same family's. It is the group's original-version house: close to half of everything it plays is a subtitled original rather than a German dub, alongside festival prizewinners, documentaries and German arthouse. Schlöndorff, Herzog, Russ Meyer and John Waters all came through in the early years. Cinema and pub occupy the same rooms, with French bistro tables and a small outdoor area, and modern digital projection behind the deliberately unchanged interior. Its own strands are D.O.K. Dienstag for documentary, the Nachtgiger late shows from 22:00 and the Meisen Matinee. Cineville subscriptions are accepted.
