The Luxor opened on 22 April 2007 at Impexstraße 1, on the edge of Walldorf. The operator's pages call it the Luxor Filmpalast Walldorf-Wiesloch, after both towns. Its six halls are named by colour rather than number: Black, Red, Blue, Purple, Green and Brown, with 1,052 seats between them. Blue is the largest at 326. It holds a lounge of 34 places: seats 1 to 14 are oversized couple armchairs, and 15 to 34 recline electrically. Purple and Green are the smallest at 103 each. Every hall divides into a Loge and a Parkett section, and Black and Blue have a stage in front of the screen. The Englert family have run the house since the opening. The Filmclub Wiesloch-Walldorf has put on its own programme since 1995 and screens here on Thursdays at 8pm.
