Johannes Englert built the Luxor-Filmpalast on Konrad-Adenauer-Allee and opened it in 2003. Its five halls are named rather than numbered: Red holds 207 seats, Blue 201, Black and Green 105 each, and Velvet 97. Current blockbusters and family films carry the programme, alongside arthouse titles, live broadcasts and school screenings. Nidderau's Seniorenbeirat has run a Seniorenkino here since September 2016, when it opened with "Ein Mann namens Ove". The 75th screening came in December 2024, with around 5,500 guests by that point. Those afternoons begin at 2.30 with a glass of Sekt or juice in the foyer, and the film starts at 3. Christa and Johannes Englert travel the 150 kilometres from Schifferstadt for almost every one. The family runs five Luxor cinemas in all.
