Kastanienallee 77, 10435 Berlin
With roughly 32 seats in a former storefront on Kastanienallee in Prenzlauer Berg, the Lichtblick-Kino is among the very smallest cinemas in Berlin. The space was never designed as an auditorium, and it shows: the proportions are those of a neighbourhood shop, the ceiling is low, and the screen fills most of the far wall. The programme favours independent, experimental and politically attuned work, often presented by the filmmakers themselves.
