KINOPOLIS Main-Taunus

KINOPOLIS Main-Taunus has twelve screens and over 3,200 seats inside the Main-Taunus-Zentrum in Sulzbach, one of Germany's largest and oldest shopping centres, at the western edge of the Frankfurt metropolitan area. The LED hall runs a Cinema LED Screen of 26 million self-illuminating diodes at 4K resolution, with a JBL Sculpted Surround sound system that HARMAN specialists engineered for that room. RealD Ultimate Screen for 3D, 4K laser projection and D-BOX motion seating are also in use. The shopping centre has 4,500 parking spaces and direct motorway access, and draws shoppers from Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and the surrounding Taunus communities.

  Its nearly nine million pixels make up a 4K image of 4,096 × 2,160. Because the wall emits its own light rather than reflecting a projector's, it gives real black and HDR without a lamp.
