Kinocenter Gießen

Kinocenter Giessen on Bahnhofstraße is the arthouse-leaning counterpart to the larger KINOPOLIS multiplex across town. The State Minister for Culture and Media has recognised its annual film programme. The Kinocenter hosts the Seriale indie festival, a Film and Psychoanalysis series, live concert broadcasts and an open-air summer cinema. Projection is by Barco RGB laser, and D-BOX motion seating is available for some titles. Bahnhofstraße sits between the university-town bustle and the commercial high street, and the audience is largely students and cinephiles.
