Kino Kandern, historically the Blumen-Lichtspiele, opened on 18 May 1956 and is run today by the non-profit society Kommunales Kino Kandern e.V., which has 226 members (as of April 2025). The listed hall still carries the wall fabric and lamps from 1956 but has current sound and picture technology; seats are split between stalls, balcony and box. Current films usually run in the German dubbed version, with individual titles shown as OmU (original with subtitles). Admission is 8 euros in the stalls and on the balcony, 9 euros in the box and 5 euros up to age 14. On the second Thursday of each month the society shows its "Besonderer Film".
