The Kino-Center Husum stands at Neustadt 114 in the town centre. The Hartung family has run it since 1977. Since the last expansion in 1997 it has eight screens with 1,148 seats in total and full drinks service. It has hosted the Husumer Filmtage festival since 1986. The state of Schleswig-Holstein awarded its programme the Kinoprogrammpreis several times, with the main prize in 2015 and 2016. Alongside the current programme, the cinema transmits Metropolitan Opera performances in the original language with subtitles.
