Königstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart
The Gloria is the big house of the group, two auditoriums above the Königstraße in central Stuttgart. It opened in 1956, the last of the three cinemas the Mertz family built into the rebuilt Marquardt block after the war. The halls, of 404 and 373 seats, sit on the first and second floors above the counter, reached from Königstraße through the Gloria-Passage, a few steps from Schlossplatz. Gloria 2 is fitted with Dolby Atmos, for years the only such auditorium in Stuttgart. The size of the rooms makes this the city centre's festival venue: the Internationales Trickfilm-Festival and the SWR Doku Festival both play here. The programme runs from wide releases to arthouse, and close to a third of the screenings on the schedule are in the original language rather than dubbed.

404 seats, 40 of them premium: leather, four centimetres wider, a sliding seat pan, two armrests each and a side table. Digital 4K projection, THX, Dolby SRD (EX), DTS and SDDS.

373 seats, 19 of them premium in leather and four centimetres wider. Polarised 3D, HFR-capable, with THX, Dolby SRD (EX), DTS and SDDS.
