The endstation.kino is in the Kulturzentrum Bahnhof Langendreer in Bochum and opened in 1988. Its motto is „alles, außer Mainstream“ (everything except mainstream): feature and documentary films from every continent, in the original with German subtitles where possible. Since 1990 the house has regularly won film-programming prizes at state and federal level, and it has projected digitally since October 2012. Each year at the end of November it hosts the Ruhr film festival blicke, and it is a member of the AG Kino-Gilde.
