The Dietrich Theater opened in 1993 in Neu-Ulm, on the street that carries Marlene Dietrich's name, and it is the largest multiplex cinema in Swabia. It stands just across the Danube from Ulm's Gothic Muenster, which has the tallest church tower in the world. Neu-Ulm is the Bavarian half of the pair, Ulm the Wuerttembergian one. The Mephisto and the Obscura are on the other bank.
