City Kinos München is the Munich branch of the Yorck Kinogruppe, housed in a former Volkstheater and film palace on Sonnenstraße near Karlsplatz (Stachus). The venue combines two connected cinemas — the City and the Atelier — linked by a shared courtyard with a bar, offering five screens and over 800 seats in total. The programming follows the Yorck philosophy of curated arthouse, European independent and original-version screenings, complemented by premieres, Sunday matinees and late-night shows. Yorck Unlimited members can use their membership here as well, making it a natural extension of Berlin's most important independent cinema circuit into Bavaria's capital.
