Kemnastraße 3, 45657 Recklinghausen
Cineworld opened on 10 June 1999 on Kemnastraße, just inside Recklinghausen's Wallring and beside the P12 car park; the city describes it as the town's central cinema. Seven screens hold about 1,500 seats between them. The programme is first-run and broad, and every upcoming screening in our listings is the German-dubbed version. A set of regular strands runs alongside it: Filmklassiker on Sunday evenings at 19:45, a Cineworld Extra slot for arthouse titles, Royal Ballet and Opera relays from London, holiday matinees for children and first-visit screenings for the very young. On the third Wednesday of the month the 11:00 Kaffeeklatsch offers a choice of two films, with coffee and biscuits included.
