Cineworld Lünen

Cineworld opened in 2001 in the centre of Lünen, close to the Lippe, at a point when the town had lost most of its older cinemas. Nennmann & Thies took it over in November 2003 after the first operator's insolvency and run it still. There are six screens and just under 900 seats. The sixth, MY PRIVATE CINEWORLD, was added in 2019 as a small room a group can book for itself. Refits in 2012 and 2014 and steady investment since have brought RGB laser projection, a Christie Vive Audio sound system and 33 D-BOX motion seats spread across two halls. The programme is first-run and mainstream, and every upcoming screening in our listings is the German-dubbed version. Regular strands cover anime, ladies' nights, a film club and live relays. The car park next door holds 360 cars.
