A CineStar on the Schweriner Straße in Wismar, a UNESCO World Heritage Hanseatic city on the Baltic coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The old town is Brick Gothic, its churches and marketplace built out of Hanseatic trade, with a further layer left by two centuries of Swedish rule. The harbour is still a working port. Wismar sits between Lübeck and Rostock, and the cinema serves residents as well as the visitors the heritage status brings. The screens show mainstream releases.
