The CineStar Metropolis near the Eschenheimer Tor is Frankfurt am Main's large-format cinema. Screen 5 carries an IMAX screen twenty-one metres wide and eleven metres tall, one of the largest in Germany, and several standard screens cover the rest of the commercial programme. Audiences come from the banking district, the university quarter and the surrounding Nordend. The Eschenheimer Turm, a fifteenth-century watchtower standing among modern buildings, is visible from the cinema's doorstep.
