The CineStar on Steinstraße in central Dortmund is the flagship house in the Ruhr region's largest city and holds one of Germany's most impressive IMAX screens. Screen 8 measures twenty metres wide and ten metres high. Several standard screens run alongside it, for families, date nights and cinephiles after the largest possible canvas. The Dortmunder U, the former Union brewery turned arts centre with its rooftop video installation, is a short walk away.
