Hamm is a Westphalian city in the eastern Ruhr region that has been remaking itself since the decline of its coal industry. The Sri Kamadchi Ampal Temple here is one of the largest Hindu temples in Europe and draws tens of thousands of visitors to its annual festival. The Cineplex is on Koenigstraße, in the pedestrianised city centre. The city also has the ruins of a medieval castle.
