The Cineplex in Baden-Baden stands on Ortenaustraße. The town is on the UNESCO World Heritage List as one of Europe's great spa cities and has drawn the international elite since Roman times. Its cultural infrastructure would be remarkable in a city ten times the size: the Festspielhaus, the Museum Frieder Burda, the Kurhaus casino. The Black Forest rises immediately behind the town, and the Oos valley funnels visitors in from the Rhine plain toward the thermal springs. Dostoevsky gambled here, Brahms composed here, and European aristocracy once stayed for entire seasons.
