Hafenstraße 1a, 26919 Brake
The CentralTheater Brake sits on Hafenstraße 1a in the town centre of Brake. Films have been shown at this site since 1912. After the commercial cinema closed in 2007, the venue reopened under the Centraltheater Brake eG, a cooperative. It has two screens: Saal 1 with 188 seats, two wheelchair spaces and a stage, and Saal 2 with 66 seats. Alongside current releases the house runs concerts, theatre and readings. Projection is digital with Christie projectors, next to an analogue 35 mm Ernemann VII B, and 3D runs through DepthQ. Admission is 10.00 € for adults, 8.00 € for children up to 12, with a 2.00 € surcharge for 3D.
