Bahnhofstraße 16, 15711 Königs Wusterhausen
The CAPITOL on Bahnhofstraße in Königs Wusterhausen was built as a cinema in 1930 and ran as a Filmtheater until 2000. Anne and Wolfgang Jurk reopened it in 2005 as a Programmkino, with stalls and a circle. The programme is mainly arthouse, alongside selected blockbusters, cult films and classics. Beyond the films, a Kulturbühne stages live events. For its annual programmes the house won the Kinoprogrammpreis Berlin/Brandenburg and the Kinoprogrammpreis des Bundeskulturministeriums from 2006 to 2025.
