Auguststraße 14, 06406 Bernburg
The Capitol in Bernburg opened on 14 November 1927, built by cinema owner Ottomar Tschakert to his own plans as a brick building on a rear plot that cannot be seen from the street. The house describes itself as the last Art Déco cinema in Germany. It has two screens, Kino 1 with the large auditorium and Kino 2. Kino 1 holds the Visionsbar, added in 1985, which is separated from the auditorium by a glass pane so you can watch the film over food and drinks. It is closed on Tuesdays.
