Darmstädter Landstraße 62, 65462 Ginsheim-Gustavsburg
The Burg-Lichtspiele stands at Darmstädter Landstraße 62 in Gustavsburg, a district of Ginsheim-Gustavsburg. The cinema opened on 3 April 1947 in a former emergency chapel built in 1899, and its licence was the first granted for a new cinema in the region after 1945. The town has run it as a communal cinema since 1986. The Achterbahn variety series was added in 1993. After a heritage renovation by the Gustavsburg architects Wagner & Ewald, the hall is now a multi-purpose venue for film, cabaret and theatre. It is run by the Freunde der Burg-Lichtspiele association.
