The Brennessel Programmkino in Hemsbach has existed since 1982, in a building where films have run on screen since 1927. Two halls show productions from Germany, Europe and the rest of the world every day, with a focus on arthouse films and room for upmarket mainstream. For children there is the KinderKino. Kino 1 has restored double seats. The cinema was last modernised in summer 2018.
