B-Movie is an independently run, volunteer-organised cinema in a backyard courtyard on Brigittenstraße in St. Pauli, operating since 1987 as part of the B-Movie Kulturinitiative. The programme focuses on thematic monthly series featuring smaller, lesser-known and controversial films including genre work, underground and experimental cinema. Screenings take place on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, without advertising and exclusively in 2D, staying true to the cinema's non-commercial ethos.
