Potsdamer Straße 2, 10785 Berlin
The Arsenal (Institut für Film und Videokunst) was founded in 1970 by Erika and Ulrich Gregor. It now sits in the Deutsche Kinemathek building at Potsdamer Platz, where its two screens are given over to retrospectives, experimental work and international films that rarely find commercial distribution. The Arsenal co-organises the Berlinale Forum. Its archive holds thousands of prints, and researched thematic programmes draw on them through the year.
