Bachstraße 15a, 49477 Ibbenbüren
The Apollo has been showing films in Ibbenbüren since the early 1950s. No founding year is published, but the cinema's old site called itself about 50 years old in 2004 and about 60 in 2012. Five halls at Bachstraße 15a hold 776 seats between them, from 107 in Kino 1 and Kino 2 up to 252 in Kino 3. The operator lists 7.1 sound in all five. The regular billing is new releases plus family and animation films. Once a month a slot called KINTIBB, short for Kino-Tipp-Ibb, goes to arthouse and international titles. On the first Tuesday of the month the Best of Cinema series screens restored classics. Mondays the cinema is closed, unless the day is a public holiday, a bridge day, or falls in the North Rhine-Westphalian school holidays.
