Hauptstraße 7, 26340 Zetel
The Zeli on the Hauptstraße in Zetel is a 126-seat cinema run by volunteers of the nonprofit Zeli - Zeteler Lichtspiele e.V. Its history begins in 1921, when Richard Janßen turned the dance hall of his inn into a cinema. His son Reinhold Janßen built the present auditorium in 1959 and named it Zeteler Lichtspielhaus, Zeli for short. Rolf Janßen ran the cinema until 2012. The association was founded in May 2012 and has since renovated the building and invested in new projection equipment. The regular programme plays on Mondays and Fridays at 8 pm, alongside a family matinee on Sunday afternoons, a monthly Kino Classic on Saturdays and a film club on Thursdays. Seating is unreserved.
