Volkslichtspiele Wernigerode

The Volkslichtspiele on Salzbergstraße 1 look back on more than 100 years of tradition and are among the oldest cinemas in the region. There are four screens. Kino 1 seats 164 and has a digital laser projector, alongside Kino 2 with 40 seats, Kino 3 with 22 and Kino 4 with 20. All four have Dolby Digital 7.1 sound, and 10 of the seats in Kino 3 are children's chairs. A standard ticket costs from 8.50 euros, children up to 11 pay from 6.00 euros, and 3D films cost 1.50 euros extra. The Best of Cinema strand brings back older films such as Rocky and Pan's Labyrinth.
