An der Volksbühne 4, 17373 Ueckermünde
The Volksbühne is Ueckermünde's cinema. It has three screens with 142, 78 and 30 seats, two of them equipped for 3D. The traditional gong is part of the atmosphere. In the mid-19th century the site was the garden of the inn "König von Preußen". A dance hall with a bowling alley and a music pavilion went up here in 1904/05, and in 1928 one hall was run as a cinema for the first time. Converted into a modern picture house in 1935, it took the name Volksbühne, which it still carries. The current team has run the cinema since August 2012, operated by Film & Kino Ueckermünde GbR. Monday is the closing day.
